Scott R Chilcutt, Fort Worth, TX (June 7, 2014) Located on the east side of Fort Worth, Waterchase Golf Club is just minutes west of the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. But more importantly on this day was its location to AT&T Stadium and the final George Strait concert. Promoted as the "Cowboy Rides Away", the concert attracted nearly 105,000 fans, breaking the indoor concert mark of The Rolling Stones in 1981 and more than a few tour members scrambled off the course to make the trip.
Waterchase may lack in clubhouse amenities, but it more than makes up with the on course experience, carved out of the local terrain, players found an abundance of native areas and water hazards to make the day challenging.
Phillip Holt, Senior Hogan Flight and Stan Harper, Senior Snead Flight took advantage of the Srixon ball challenge and will get an extra dozen for their accomplishment. Jeff workman, Sarazen Flight picked up the Tournament Champion Trophy, presented by Carlisle's Engraving.
