The winner of the Feherty's Troops First Foundation 50/50 raffle, took home $540, bringing the Texas Tour events total to $1,700 contributed to the Foundation in 2018.
RESULTS:
Championship Flight: First-time tour player Ryan Mainey of Irving, TX, made the best of some home cooking. Mainey who plays out of Iron Horse, regularly, birdied the par 4 - 13th, en-route to a +2 - 72, four strokes clear of a pair of players in second. RJ Foltz of Lakeside Park, KY, and Dallas, TX, resident Jack Zablosky, shared the runner-up finish.
Palmer Flight: Coming off his first Major Championship at the previous weeks, Houston Open, Kirk Boerner of Fort Worth, TX, made it three for the season and his seventh victory on tour. Boerner, with two birdies on his round, started out a little shaky but got things going on the back nine to clear a trio of players five strokes back. Tim Bush of Granbury, TX, Salado, TX, first-time player Reggie Hargrove, and James Munn of Odessa, TX, split the second place honors.
Hogan Flight: Fort Worth, TX, member Jeff Workman, picked up his sixteenth Championship and tour and second win of the points season. Three strokes back, newcomer Forest Woods, of Bedford, TX, with two birdies on the round, finished in the runner-up spot, with another first-time player, Mike Castleberry of McKinney, TX, rounding out the top three.
Senior Hogan Flight: Dave Ducray of Plano, TX, picked up his sixth win on tour and first since the 2013 Dallas Tour Championship as a Sarazen Flight player. Ducray, with a birdie on the par 5 - 11th, cleared Fort Worth, TX, member Sal Torres, with a birdie of his own on the par 4 - 13th, by four strokes. Jerry Smith, of Georgetown, TX, with a birdie of his own on the 13th, took the showplace finish.
Sarazen Flight: Carrollton, TX, resident, Scott Sears, recorded his fifth win on tour and first of the season. Sears, one stroke back making the turn, cleaned things up on the back nine, to clear, by four strokes, the pair of David Holcomb of Dallas, TX, and Fort Sill, OK, member Jeff Klosterman, knotted up in second.
Senior Sarazen Flight: Mackie Crossan of Abilene, TX, picked up his fourth win on tour and second of the season. Two strokes back, Grand Prairie, TX, player Tom Stockton, with a birdie on the par 4 - 18th, and Darren Bufton, of Bedford, TX, a winner his last time out at the Houston Open Major Championship, shared the runner-up spot.
Jones Flight: Dallas, TX, resident, Ronald Occenad picked up his second win in as many attempts, the last coming at the November, Squaw Valley Championship and third on tour. Occendad, made the best of two birdies on his round to clear second place finisher, David Farmer, JR, of Dallas, TX. Farmer with a birdie on the par 3 - 8th, stayed two strokes clear of Abilene, TX, player Kevin Crosson, with a birdie of his own on the par 3 - 5th, rounding out the top three.
Snead Flight: Zane Latham of Valley View, TX, recorded two birdies on his day, to finish out the Championship. One stroke back of Latham, Fort Worth, TX, player Keith Huddleston grabbed the runner-up spot, with Fabio Mazzilli, of Irving, TX, taking home the third place honors.
